Estimator's Piping Man-Hour Manual 5th Edition, John S. Page

Estimator's Piping Man-Hour Manual 5th Edition PDF Download Ebook. John S. Page offers reliable piping estimating data including installation of pneumatic mechanical instrumentation used in monitoring various process systems. This new edition has been expanded and updated to include installation of pneumatic mechanical instrumentation, which is used in monitoring various process systems.

This text has been expanded and updated to include installation of pneumatic mechanical instrumentation, which is used in monitoring various process systems. I recommend this book to any estimator charged with providing accurate budgets in industrial construction. The book addresses carbon steel, stainless steel Heavy wall, large O.D. Staging, Insulation, Pipe Hangers and more.

The Author goes into detail in a clear and concise method about how to structure your estimate and provides a sample estimating sheet. Even though the estimating sheet is about 30 yrs old, I have set one up in excel to match his format and it works beautifully.

John S. Page has wide experience in cost and labor estimating, having worked for some of the largest construction firms in the world. He has made and assembled numerous types of estimates including lump-sum, hard-priced, and scope, and has conducted many time and method studies in the field and in fabricating shops. Mr. Page has a BS in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas and received the Award of Merit from the American Association of Cost Engineers in recognition of outstanding service and cost engineering.

Visual Complex Analysis by Tristan Needham

Visual Complex Analysis PDF Download Ebook. Tristan Needham offers intuitive explanations, lack of advanced prerequisites, and consciously user-friendly prose style. This text will help students to master the subject more readily than was previously possible. The key to this is the book's use of new geometric arguments in place of the standard calculational ones.

These geometric arguments are communicated with the aid of hundreds of diagrams of a standard seldom encountered in mathematical works. A new approach to a classical topic, this work will be of interest to students in mathematics, physics, and engineering, as well as to professionals in these fields.

This text will show you the field of complex analysis in a way you almost certainly have not seen before. Drawing on historical sources and adding his own insights, Needham develops the subject from the ground up, drawing us attractive pictures at every step of the way. If you have time for a year course, full of fascinating detours, this is the perfect text; by picking and choosing, you could use it for a variety of shorter courses.

This radical first course on complex analysis brings a beautiful and powerful subject to life by consistently using geometry (not calculation) as the means of explanation. Although aimed at the complete beginner, professional mathematicians and physicists may also enjoy the fresh insights afforded by this unusual approach. The book contains new geometric arguments that yield a more intuitive and elementary approach than the conventional.

There are over 500 diagrams to illuminate the geometric reasoning, no advanced prerequisites, unusually wide-ranging exercises that investigate important and interesting facts on penetrating (yet elementary) treatments of such important topics.

16-Hour Structural Engineering (SE) Practice Exam for Buildings

16-Hour Structural Engineering (SE) Practice Exam for Buildings PDF Download Ebook. Joseph S. Schuster prepares you for the Structural SE exam. It mimics the SE exam in terms of topics covered, problem level of difficulty, codes and standards referenced, and overall exam format. Like the SE exam, both the vertical and lateral components are organized into a morning breadth and an afternoon depth module.

Each breadth module contains 40 multiple-choice problems, and each depth module contains 4 essay response problems, for a total of 88 exam-like problems. Completing the problems within each module’s allotted four hours will prepare you for the SE exam’s pace and duration.

Comprehensive step-by-step solutions for all problems illustrate accurate and efficient solving methods. The multiple-choice breadth modules also include complete answer keys so you can quickly determine a problem’s correct answer. The essay response afternoon depth modules make use of blue text to call out the text, calculations, and drawings you are expected to include in your exam booklet. Black explanations, calculations, and drawings provide supportive information to further describe a solution’s methodology.

The first half of this book will focus on how and why the changes were made, including discussion of how different states use the current structural examinations, difficulties in mobility of structural licenses, the NCEES Structural Task Force, the NCEES Professional Activities and Knowledges Survey for the new 16-hour Structural Examination, and the new Test Specification. The second half will discuss the format of the new 16-hour Structural Examination, the new 16-hour Structural Examination writing committee, and how the new 16-hour Structural Examination is graded.

Structural Modeling and Experimental Techniques 2e

Structural Modeling and Experimental Techniques 2nd Edition PDF Download Ebook. Harry G. Harris and Gajanan Sabnis offer current treatment of structural modeling for applications in design, research, education, and product development. Providing numerous case studies throughout, the book emphasizes modeling the behavior of reinforced and prestressed concrete and masonry structures.

This text focuses on the modeling of the true inelastic behavior of structures, provides case histories detailing applications of the modeling techniques to real structures. It discusses the historical background of model analysis and similitude principles governing the design, testing, and interpretation of models. This book evaluates the limitations and benefits of elastic models.

Author analyzes materials for reinforced concrete masonry and steel models, assesses the critical nature of scale effects of model testing, describes selected laboratory techniques and loading methods. It contains material on errors as well as the accuracy and reliability of physical modeling, examines dynamic similitude and modeling techniques for studying dynamic loading of structures by covering actual applications of structural modeling.

This book serves students in model analysis and experimental methods, professionals manufacturing and testing structural models, as well as professionals testing large or full-scale structures - since the instrumentation techniques and overall approaches for testing large structures are very similar to those used in small-scale modeling work.
